A one week all-inclusive ski tour of Banff National Park to introduce you to the wonders of the Canadian Rockies - its mountains, its people, its history and its skiing. With a maximum group size of only 8 guests, you'll get great personal attention, meet new friends and have an incredible time.
Itinerary
Day One - Arrival in Banff
We'll pick up at Calgary airport and transfer you to Banff in one of our luxurious motorcoaches. We'll be at the same hotel in Banff for the next 7 nights. Dinner will be served at the hotel at which time We'll give you some background information on the tour and its components.
Day Two - Lake Louise
Today will be spent skiing at Lake Louise - where spectacular scenery awaits you with uniquely beautiful
terrain that is both vast and varied. The wilderness is pristine and
inspirational. Located in the heart of majestic, historic Banff
National Park, Lake Louise is truly legendary and offers world class
terrain. With 4200 skiable acres, Lake Louise is one of the largest ski areas in North America.
Day Three - Dog sledding and snowshoeing
Today's excursion will take us into the backcountry of the Rocky Mountains where we'll embark on a journey with a team of huskies. After our dog sledding adventure, lunch will be served on an open fire before we go for a guided snowshoe walk led by a Parks Canada accredited guide. Dinner will be served at a nearby ranch.
Day Four - Sunshine 100% Powder
Our journey today will be to Sunshine Village, famous for 100% natural snow. For 80 years Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard Resort has been
serving up what is usually only found in skier's and snowboarder's
dreams: endless mountain terrain in the heart of an unspoiled
wilderness.
Uncrowded slopes, Abundant snowfall, Mountain towns alive with spirit -
all within Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. Sunshine
Village is renowned for its lengthy season from mid-November until late
May. Just 15 minutes from the resort town of Banff, Sunshine Village
offers over 3,300 acres of terrain on three mountains, with an average
annual snowfall of over 30 feet! After a full day of skiing, we'll return to Banff and soak in the natural mineral hot spring. Afterwards, dinner will be served in one of the many bars.
Day Five - Panorama Mountain Village
Our drive today will take us through Kootenay National Park to British Columbia where we'll spend the day skiing at Panorama Mountain Village. Anyone interested may wish to try a snowmobiling adventure at an additional cost with Toby Creek Adventures . Dinner at the Black Forest Restaurant in Invermere.
Day Six - Banff City tour and free time
We'll learn the history of the Banff National Park today during a guided townsite tour. The history of our First Nations will be presented at the Luxton Museum of the Plains Indians. The afternoon is free for you to explore Banff on your own. Dinner will be in Canmore tonight.
Day Seven - Ski day of your choice
Another ski day at either Sunshine or Lake Louise. Afterwards we'll visit the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for a nice little Apres Ski and enjoy the surrounding scenery of Mt Victoria. Our farewell dinner will be in Banff.
Day Eight - Return transportation to Calgary for your flight home.
